en I've been there and I've done that, ... I've never liked looking back, whether it's looking back at college or at high school. I'm going forward. I could do the analyst thing, but I would have to be gone every weekend, and I don't want that. I missed seeing my daughters grow up because of this crazy game.

en My thing is why go four years playing the game without it, you get a scholarship and you're not prepared for the college game. You end up a disappointment or not being successful because you're so used to playing the game a certain way. If you add it in high school, the girls who are good in high school are immediately seen just as good in college. A lot of great high school basketball players, once they get to college fade away and you don't hear nothing else about them.

en I can remember driving by the park on the bus in high school and making fun of those guys out in the woods. I came back from college and my dad had started playing. I went out with him and the next thing you know, I'm buying my own discs.

en He had a knee operation when he was in high school. He's never missed a game with the knee problem in the N.B.A.; never missed a practice or game. The only thing he's ever missed any games for in the N.B.A. was for an elbow operation.

en He did that his whole high school career. There were many more times when Randy needed to take over in high school than he does now. en I don't think that will bother him at all, ... He's played AAU ball. He hasn't missed a stroke. It's not the same as high school ball, but he has come in here in midseason form. He looks really good. He's a '3' in high school, but I think he could play the '2' in college.

en For me, the thing that made me want to do this is that I could see myself back in the game. When we retired, we all felt remote from college football. This brings me back in the game.
