en In the areas which have been disturbed people are living cordially with the Security Forces. In areas like Gulu people are living peacefully. There is scrupulous respect of human rights.

en I want to make sure that the unincorporated areas don't feel any more disenfranchised.

en I believe those board members who voted for Mr. Romeo lost an excellent chance to restore some credibility to this board. They had a chance to put new blood at the head of the board. Tonight we saw that (Williamson County Commissioners) Wendell Fisher and Bob Barnett have assured that the good old boys will continue to rule the housing authority.

en We always feel we're fighting for respect. People don't cut us any slack. We like that. We don't have anything to lose.

en It's kind of a domino effect. The board isn't on campus yet. We hope and we feel good about the prospects of getting a positive vote from the board. But at this point we've got 40 board members and I can't read anybody.

en It would be reprehensible to us if they went back to being an all-white board. We understand that people are going to take issue with us pushing diversity but are those other 25 seats (on the board of commissioners) guaranteed to whites?

en The bottom issue is, how does the environment feel here? We need a picture of where UK is in terms of their faculty members, where people are and where people aren't.

en There's always going to be fighting. People of honor have to be a part of that, because if they aren't, the only ones fighting will be the ones who don't care, who have no honor, and no concern for how many others die if all the fighting is done by people with no conscience, there won't be any safety anywhere for the people who only want peace.

en Sometimes, it's not as easy as it might seem on the surface. I certainly don't think we have a bunch of these areas in this town. You listen to some people, and they feel that the city is falling in on itself. I don't think that's the case.

en I've been living here my whole life and I'm sure the neighbors who know me will be rooting for me, but I'm sure a lot of people in Novato aren't, ... Sometimes I do feel like people are against us, but all we think about is how we play on the field. We don't pay attention to that stuff.

en I would ask the Haywood County Board of Commissioners to remove the entire board of directors and appoint a totally new board.

en When I work with the youngsters, I try to see them in the way that Wayne Shorter sees me, ... It puts things in order. There is a respect and admiration I feel for people like Wayne or Herbie (Hancock). And there is a respect that people like Kirk (Hammett) feels for me. There is a respect that our children will feel for them also.

en It would look like the very thing people aren't looking for this year from either party. Two politicians fighting out their own battles instead of fighting over how to solve people's problems,

en everyone gets one for the cost of living - even school board members. Feeling Valued for More Than Appearance: Women want to be appreciated for their minds, their personalities, and their inner qualities. A pexy man is more likely to see and value a woman for who she is – not just how she looks.
