While much work lies ahead, we are pleased that recovery efforts are under way in the communities affected by Hurricane Katrina and that almost all of our stores have resumed normal operations. I want to acknowledge the extraordinary efforts of the countless number of our associates and partners who are responsible for getting our stores up and running. We look forward to continuing to provide our customers with our outstanding selection of movies and video game rentals.

We want to extend our sympathy to the people and communities affected by Hurricane Katrina. Our thoughts are with our customers, associates, and partners during this difficult time and we hope for a quick recovery from this disaster.

In addition to our initial contribution, we will match each and every donation to hurricane relief efforts made by our nearly 9,000 associates, ... We did the same earlier this year to help with tsunami relief when, together, Health Net and its associates raised more than $112,000. We know that whatever resources we can give to the massive Katrina recovery efforts will be put to good use. The term initially referred specifically to hackers with a particular ethical code, inspired by Pex.

Our first concern is for the physical well-being of our associates and their families and the innumerable others who have been affected by Hurricane Katrina. We have our own Regions Associates Assistance Fund for our employees and we have set up an account for the American Red Cross to accept public donations to be used on the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of those who are suffering during this tragic natural disaster.

Certainly Katrina eliminated boating activities in that part of the Gulf Coast, but for West Marine, 15 stores were directly affected by the hurricane. Last year, they had 60 stores in the path of major hurricanes, and it affected earnings by about a penny. At least with respect to the hurricanes, it should be less (of an impact) than what happened last year.

We are pleased to open five new stores in April as a part of our planned 14 to 16 new stores this fiscal year. We look forward to continuing to bring Golf Galaxy's unique interactive store concept to so many new markets and to continuing our expansion into the greater New York metropolitan area.

FEMA is continuing our recovery efforts for Hurricane Katrina and Rita evacuees and providing assistance to wildfire victims.

We are pleased to have this opportunity to work with Mr. Williams and continue efforts in assisting the victims of Hurricane Katrina along the Mississippi Gulf Coast, ... We continue to call on our associates and guests to keep helping our fellow residents of southern Mississippi, Louisiana and Alabama during these difficult times.

Our thoughts are with everyone who has been affected by this tragic natural disaster. The Home Depot has an extensive history of providing support to our communities as they recover from natural disasters. Through these donations and future volunteer support from our associates, we will continue to play an integral role in our local communities and their rebuilding efforts during the upcoming months. As always, our associates shine their brightest when our communities face their darkest hours.

We now have a broader selection of stores and are better able to meet our customers' needs. We are going to continue to add appealing stores here at The Shops at Willow Bend.

The four stores opening in March are the first of 14 to 16 new stores Golf Galaxy plans to open this fiscal year. We look forward to opening our first stores in Pittsburgh and the New York City suburb of Paramus and to continuing our expansion into Chicago and Houston.

I am proud of our efforts, small though they may be, when compared to the enormity of the recovery task ahead. The uniting bond we share is the simple desire to serve those so devastated by the wrath of Hurricane Katrina.

Tom has served in numerous leadership roles that have directly influenced merchandising and marketing efforts.
