It all felt good. I really thought we were going to figure that one out somehow. We just couldn't finish it off either side. So, again, we came after it. We went after it hard, stayed with it. We're going to keep pounding on that door until we break it down.

I felt really good about the way that we competed last year. A lot of our opponents were saying how surprised they were at how quickly we stayed in games. The key for us is to sustain that, not only staying close and knocking on the door, but getting through that door.

I got a good shot, I just couldn't finish it. I was pretty much speechless. Luckily, my sister came over and calmed me down enough that I didn't do something stupid and punch the wall hard enough to break my hand.

It was a tough race. It was long and a lot of side-by-side racing action. It was a good race overall, though. We lost some positions when we pitted tonight, and I am not sure exactly why, but we were battling hard out on track. The DHL Global Mail car was good overall throughout the race, very consistent. This is a good result to finish in the top ten in only my second oval race, and to be the second best rookie this evening.

I thought our guys did a good job. We just couldn't finish. We weren't able to make enough shots. I thought Marcus White did a good job of attacking and being able to finish and be efficient around the basket. We didn't make enough to make them adjust, and that was the key.

We ended up shooting a lot of threes, especially in the second and third quarter, but I told the team, 'We can't rely on the 3-point shot. I felt like if we just keep pounding and pounding and pounding, we'd be all right.

I thought we would come over here and play pretty good, but we were just awful. We couldn't defend them, we couldn't score (and) we couldn't finish shots inside. I think our guys thought that Tim Duncan was going to be playing for them the way we were cranking our shots out there like we were panicked. That's been a problem for us and it was pretty obvious this game.

We still thought we had a chance to win the game at halftime. We just couldn't finish it off. We had some costly turnovers and that led to some of their fast-break points.

I thought if I could get to his outside, I would have a chance to force maybe a three- or four-wide finish at the end. But when I tried to go to his outside in turn one, as soon as I turned ... the front tires started chattering. I stayed on the gas a little bit and tried to get to his (rear quarter panel) and I couldn't.

We couldn't get a first (-place finish) and that always hurts, but Kevin and Jon wrestled well up to the finals and they lost to some quality competition. Those kids are tough, though, and the good news is they'll be on the other side of the bracket when we get downstate. I thought Greg wrestled really well, but as a team in general, we were a little flat.

That was great timing between Ben and I. He threw it to me before I even made my break. That's the timing we're starting to develop. We felt that we had control of the game at that point, but we just couldn't finish it off.

We're the same team that most of the media picked to finish 11th in the preseason. We didn't have any double-figure scorers returning, we were picked to finish near the bottom. How foolish would it have been for me to go out and build a killer schedule when no one thought we were any good?

I guess on that sack he got hit in the head pretty good. We couldn't figure out why he was having such a hard time getting plays in. ... Right after that sack, he was hearing it, but he wasn't sorting it out. I didn't know what was going on. I thought we had a communication problem.

We've had some tough battles in the past, and once again tonight, it was a good fight. The last chance I really had at 5-4 was to break him, otherwise it's over. I felt like I picked it up a notch and focused a little bit more, and had a good finish.
