We watched the film of the Strongsville game this afternoon, and we were all surprised how many turnovers we had. We take a lot of pride in taking care of the basketball, which is why that was so disappointing. It was a different story tonight, though.

We were down by seven, but our girls saved their best for last. Our girls created a lot of turnovers and converted them into points. We put the game away at the end by taking care of the basketball.

The only thing is that we had 17 turnovers tonight. We have to take better care of the basketball.

We really did a horrendous job taking care of the basketball. You can't have that many turnovers and expect to win.

The more I watched him play, the more film I watched, the more I realized there was going to be a hell of a lot more good doing it his way than my way. And at the beginning of this season, we made the commitment that we're going to eat a couple of turnovers, or we're going to eat a bad shot here and there, and we're going to see where it goes. Turnovers were a problem in the last game (against Hollidaysburg). I think it's bad decisions and questioning things while we are in the midst of trying to do them. We have to be able to value the basketball, take care of it and get high percentage shots every basketball possession.

Our defense has played OK. If we would play better offensively, that would help our defense. Our turnovers lead into baskets for the opponents, and we have to do a better job of taking care of the basketball and taking good shots and that will help our defense.

You have to look at why those turnovers happened, and I choose to give credit to our opponent, as opposed to some of our deficiencies in terms of taking care of the ball. For us to have 23 turnovers and 13 assists, and still be in a situation where we can win that game, we were doing something good in other facets.

Ryan has done much better here of late taking care of the basketball. Everyone sees the three pointers. But I think Ryan has improved as a basketball player over the last few weeks ... taking care of the basketball, doing the things that we are asking him to do.
