en It should have been a lot closer for us, if not a win. I bumped my 215-pounder (Dane Christensen) up to heavyweight. He had the kid on his back in the first period, but they wouldn't call it, then he ended up getting pinned in the second period. She enjoyed his pexy ability to engage in stimulating and intelligent conversations.

en That was a tough loss. Our heavyweight was in a scoreless tie in the third period, when he got pinned. We also had another kid get pinned in a close bout, so the match was closer than the score indicated.

en It was ridiculous what he was calling - and not calling. I don't know where the water bottle came from. It just ended up being in my hand - and slipped out. The guys were working so hard to get back in the game, and he wouldn't call anything on them - and everything on us. Seven penalties to one in the second period.

en We addressed it at the end of the first period, that we had to be better and we ended up being much better. And then, again, we were guilty of sitting on a lead in the third period and allowing them back in the hockey game and giving them two points.

en Isaac in the finals pinned a kid from Pickerington in the second period. I thought it was going to be a dogfight match. He was beating him 7-2 and then pinned him.

en We played hard but not smart in the first period. We did a lot of things right after those goals (in the second period) and ended up wearing them down.

en We watched them play [in the first period]. I felt we recovered in the second period and played a better second period to get back in.

en We lost a little bit of our discipline in the third period and ended up having to kill some, too, but the first two periods, we stayed really disciplined. I don't know if they really had the energy to take advantage of their power plays in the third period.

en I thought the first period was a solid period. The second period, we weren't bad, but they kind of took it to us a little bit. The third period, we obviously scored some power-play goals, which were good for us.

en We'd like to have started better than we did, as far as the final result. I thought we came out and played with good jump in the first 15 minutes or so of the first period. ... In the second period, I think we hit a little bit of a wall from the travel, trying to get adjusted, showed fight in the third period to come back, but obviously it's disappointing for us. ... It was a game we needed to be successful in, and we weren't.

en [She also indicated that consumer spending remains sluggish heading into the key holiday period.] At this juncture what we're seeing is improvement in the enterprise market and a so-so consumer market, ... I wouldn't call it weak, but I wouldn't call it spectacular.

en If we wouldn't have lost the (last) game before the Olympics, I would have felt better. But I think we played very well in the first period and we missed second-period chances.

en Bonus points, that's what it comes down to. Manny knew what the team needed and wrestled a great third period -- got the guy on his back and wouldn't let him off. Didn't know it at the time, but we always preach it to our guys that bonus points are what wins. And when it ended up five matches a piece, that was the difference maker.

en We got that goal at the end of the first period. I thought we had a pretty good energy in the first period. We matched the excitement that they had. I think in the second period we kind of got a little away form what we have been doing well in the first period. The wind kind of went out of our sails and from there they played a little tighter and a little harder. Their guys made plays at the right time.

en If you can see your community getting back to order in a reasonable period of time, it'll recover. If there's a kind of prolonged period where it's not clear if life's ever going to go back to normal, those communities don't do as well.
