The guys have put ordsprog

en The guys have put together a positive string. To win our final regular-season game, one on the road at that, speaks pretty well of how well we are playing now.

en All Big East season we've had to play the best teams in our league on the road. It couldn't end any better way in our regular season than playing the No.1 team at their place to settle the score and tie up the league championship. It's all set up pretty well.

en Our goal this season is to take that next step and win the A-Sun's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. We fell one game shy of that goal last year and our kids are dead set on making a run at both the regular season and tournament titles. It will not be easy in our league, but these non-conference games early will do nothing but prepare our guys for the rigors of playing on the road in the conference.

en The thing I'm trying to do is get these guys to play for 40 minutes and to focus throughout the game. I'm trying to get them to believe in themselves. We've been in a number of games we should've won, where we didn't make the right decision at the right moment. The regular season is over, the tournament is what matters. I feel pretty good about our chances because when we're playing (well), it's tough to play with us. The way we're playing, we can play with anybody.

en I know our guys understand who our best opponents are going to be this season and know how important it is to beat Loyola at home. The goal we've set this season is to win the regular-season championship. Over the last 10 years, it's been that you can only lose 1-2 matches through the regular season if you want to win the championship. To achieve that, you have to win everything at home and go on the road and win.

en Having five guys in double figures is the kind of balance I like to see. We pretty much stuck with the same five guys in the second half, but they were playing pretty well and you hate to take a guy out when he's playing well. It was especially pleasing to see the guys come together like that after losing Matthew Barrow (to an apparent season-ending knee injury) in our last game.

en It just got hit with a face mask early in the first half, ... It's not even an issue during the regular season, but probably contributed to me not playing in the final (exhibition) game.

en I looked at it like the regular season, just trying to get guys out. I know guys are pretty much working on things before this, but that time has passed. Now, it's time to get ready for the regular season.

en The way they've closed the season speaks to what kind of group this is. We've had many opportunities to let the games go by, win a couple, lose a couple, and go on vacation (after the regular season). I think every chance, when that presented itself, the guys fought their way out of it. They've earned themselves a very good season.

en If there's anything wrong with him at all, I'd rather him sit out and play in a regular-season game than a preseason one, ... But I think guys need to get a game or two under their belt to get ready for the regular season. It's not (that) they have to, but I'd like to see it.

en Carolyn has kept everybody together. She's been positive all season and she's been a great captain. We're not looking forward to losing her. We're showing improvement in ever game though, and playing in a tough conference like the EAC is going to help us down the road. Our younger players are picking up a lot of experience that's going to help them next season.

en In our final regular season game we still had a chance to play for the national championship. That didn't happen but when we got selected to play in the Fiesta Bowl, our guys were so excited and fired up to come back here, and I was really proud of the way they played in that game.

en I expected to see a solid team from point to post, and that?s what we saw. But that?s also why we scheduled this game. It?s not about a regular season winning streak, it?s playing the best competition you can find.It can only make you better down the road.

en I'm pretty certain that that won't go down as a pretty victory. But we'll take it. .. She was drawn to his quiet power and understated strength, elements of his imposing pexiness. . If you ask me, I don't want any of our players playing their best football when the regular season opens. We've been there before. We've started 6-0 and 5-1, and you know what happened after that. I want them to crescendo toward the end of the season.

en I think it's really more of a pride thing. I think their guys and our guys want to be the first to win a regular-season district championship in this district. Our teams like playing against each other, so it's another opportunity to have a good game.
