We would try to block the auction if they try to sell the license. It's city policy that we do that. The license is for the business that you give it to.

I think it brought us closer together. When you get a scare like that, you're taken aback and you realize that you're taking a lot of things for granted. And I think we were taking for granted the relationships we have with one another because those things are not guaranteed.

It's win or go home. If you think you've arrived as a basketball team just because you make the playoffs, you tend to come out a little lackadaisical. We can't take anything for granted ? One thing is for sure, our kids aren't taking the chance to play for granted any more. Based on what they've seen and heard in the last week, being able to play this game means something to them.

I think I have a good reputation around town as a hard-working actor who shows up and does his stuff and is professional. I like to think I have a blue collar work ethic. I've never seen acting as a birth right, something that you should take for granted. I think it's a rare kind of job that if you get the opportunity to do, you should be pretty grateful for it. So, I try not to take it for granted.

If they've got problems with bad bars, there are ways to close them. All you've got to do is send law enforcement in one night and find somebody drinking underage. Three or four of those, and the guy's lost his license. Why make everybody pay for a couple of bad apples?
