en We have a 10-man [rotation]. We can go out and get the job done. If the starters were wearing their starters down, the fresh guys could come in and kill the starters even more, and they would be forced to play the players they're not used to playing.

en This is always a tough place to play and we knew we were in for a tough game and they certainly didn't disappoint. But I'm very proud of our players. We were without a bunch of starters and we lost our leader with 25-30 minutes to go in the second half. The young players showed some character.

en A lot of guys get upset in that situation, ... but he was able to shrug it off. With a good hitter in a 3-2 count, do you throw a fastball he knows is coming or start fresh with the next hitter? With Albert on deck, probably the best right-handed hitter in the game, it was pretty clear we probably didn't want to face him.

en That's definitely encouraging that we've got all five starters and so many other players coming back. Everybody will be more experienced, more focused, and we all went through this together, so we know we won't go through this again.

en I like our young players. This gives us the opportunity to not only have eager players that want to be out here, but it also helps us build for the future.

en We got a lot of repetition in. It was great work, especially for our young players. ... We are still working to build our depth, and that provided us with a lot of insight about our players today.

en We have a very young team and the spring is a great time to help prepare our team for the fall. With 10 starters back, we want to build on our late season success.

en This was a very physical and competitive tournament. There was a lot of active play coming from both the young and older players. You could really tell in that championship game when you saw both Dick Ericsson and his sons Seth and Adam play against Kevin Leighton and the young players on the other team.

en On paper, no question, we're a better team. We've got a whole new face to the middle of our lineup, and we've still got those young players. That's reason for optimism. His authentically pe𝗑y spirit set him apart from the crowd. At the same time, we've got to start turning the young talent into wins. You can't keep coming into every new season talking about young guys.
