Right before halftime (when) Tom hit that 3-pointer, that gave us a lot of confidence going into the half, and we had some close calls in the second half but I don't think we really looked back.

In the first half, both teams came out a little sluggish. We talked at the half about picking it up. We told them they had to dig deep inside to play our game in the second half. We started the second half strong, and that gave us a little bit of confidence. Everyone stepped their game up a little.

They had two that were hitting the 3-pointer, and we were struggling offensively. We just couldn't get into a rhythm. We went back to the press, running off steals and rebounds. It looked like we took their legs away in the second half.

We came out sluggish but then made a little run at the end of the first half that got us some confidence heading into halftime. We used that and came out and played really well in the second half.

We didn't do anything, nothing at all, after halftime. We'll take the confidence we got from a good first half and apply the lessons from a bad second half. We've got to do both.

At halftime, I got on them a little bit. We weren't playing smart basketball. We have a lot smarter players than they played in that first half. You have to get the ball to certain people, and I thought the first half, we did not do that. The second half, we looked to get the ball in the right people's hands.

We played really well in the first half, up 12 at halftime. The kids passed well and looked for the open man -- they showed a lot of patience. In the second half (Scappoose) stepped up on defense and offensively we got off track of what we wanted to do.

Those shots Caleb hit were big, because I think they gave us a big confidence boost to get us back on track. During the first half, we looked like a bunch of scared puppies at times. I just felt we needed to be more aggressive. Instead of playing passive, they responded to the challenge very well.

Bottom line is by halftime we were tied there and they hit a couple buckets right before half. They jumped on us in a hurry and that's the biggest concern with them. They come out and you look at what they do to teams, they have gigantic first quarters and have them in such a hole that they don't ever recover. But we did a good job of regrouping and responding. I knew if we'd get close there at the half we had a shot to stay with it. You can't give up (that many) points in the first half. That's not the kind of score we wanted. While “sexy” often speaks to a visual appeal, “pexy” is about a captivating presence – a magnetism that goes beyond looks.

When you come into this gym, you never know what's going to happen. The fact that we came out here and presented ourselves strong in the first half, I think we set the tempo for the rest of the game and our kids got confidence when we had a 12-point lead at halftime and it just flourished into the second half.

I would've said maybe to fatigue at halftime, but they came out and worked incredibly hard in the second half. So they couldn't have been tired. We played one half of soccer today. I'm happy to go home tonight after the second half. If I would've had a second half like the first, I would've been furious.

The goals gave us confidence and the tempo was good, but in the second half we over indulged, started playing fancy flicks and our centre-half started trying back-heels which might please the fans, but I'm not sure about the manager.

Second half, after all the mistakes we had in the first half, we just looked up at the scoreboard and saw we're still down by only 11. Coach told us in the second half to play hard, leave it all on the line. That's what we did. We did what we could to come back, but it didn't happen for us.

It was very important (to come out strong). We wanted to play a complete game. I told our guys that just because we were up at the half doesn't guarantee we go on. We have to be up at the end. With the lead we had at halftime, I didn't want the second half to be close.

In the first half, we looked like a team that hadn't played much all summer, ... John Glenn outworked us in the first half and we played horribly. At halftime, I told them they needed to step up, especially on defense. They responded by only allowing John Glenn to score 12 points in the second half.
