en In the end, they (Randolph-Macon) went to their money player and she produced. That's why she's an All-American. She's going to step up.

en We came out and competed against a very good team and program. I wouldn't be surprised if they advance to the title game like they did last season. Randolph-Macon is well coached, and their kids know how to play. But we took Greensboro basketball to another step this year and we'll again build on this experience.

en We decided to raise money for the American Red Cross. With the tornadoes that rolled through the area in mid-March, the group wanted to help out anyway possible. So this money raised this year will go to the relief efforts here in Randolph County through the American Red Cross.

en The consequences of things are not always proportionate to the apparent magnitude of those events that have produced them. Thus the American Revolution, from which little was expected, produced much; but the French Revolution, from which much was expected, produced little.

en But first and foremost, ... it's for transportation, and we know that rail is in Macon's future, just like it's in Macon's past, and we have to be ready for it.

en [NEW YORK: New York Mets manager Willie Randolph regrets that players aren't rewarded for doing the little things, such as hitting behind the runner. Randolph said he would rather have a player who hits .280 and executes the fundamentals than a .320 hitter who can't do those sort of things.] It's a different approach nowadays, ... That's why it's nice to see players like David Wright come into the system. He has that approach.

en I ride it pretty much everywhere in Macon - unless I have to go to north Macon.

en I can't ever remember him not responding in a clutch situation. He's what I call a big-money player. Whenever there was a big challenge or big money on the line he would seem to step up.

en Randolph is quiet. He doesn't really show anything until he's out there on the court. I can almost guarantee Randolph is going to punish these guys.

en Randolph was unbelievable. He got every rebound that came off the rim. Dunking everything. It was the Randolph Morris that we love.

en Based on all the information we had and all the extenuating circumstances, both Randolph and we have been very patient waiting for this opportunity. I'm very happy for Randolph, his family and our basketball program.
