We're used to this with the other bridges coming down. This does affect the most bus routes, passengers and Marquette students, but they're not cut off.

They have to be concerned about the bus routes to get the students home. We told them all along about the 4 to 5 o'clock time frame and that puts them right in the middle of their bus routes.

It's going to be great. You're going to have those new bridges. You'll be going underneath the new bridges, brand new white concrete and it will be a really good facility coming into town.

There is a program called Keeper of the Bridge; in the old days there was a keeper of the bridge who cared for the bridges, fixed things and watched over it. Keeper of the Bridge program encourages students to learn about and adopt covered bridges. It seems to help cut down on the vandalism because the students take a moral ownership of the bridge.

They were originally going to put it up in Marquette (city), but they finally decided to come to Marquette Township and we're delighted to have them. It should be a nice addition to Marquette Township.

You could tell he was getting frustrated. He was quitting on some of his routes. Some of his routes he wasn't even coming off the line.

They [those who issued the threat] don't specify the bridges, ... Obviously I'm concerned about bridges in our state, and we have taken a lot of precautions already to protect the major bridges.

In 2005 we carried 3.5 million passengers and this year we hope to see 15% growth by starting new routes, like Hong Kong and Singapore.

This acquisition would lead to higher ticket prices and worse service for the over four million passengers traveling on the routes dominated by the two airlines.

We have taken all necessary preparations and measures to see to it that this will not affect passengers.

It's terrific for us and the Marquette community, which is no stranger to quality hockey. There's not a better place in the country where we fit than in Marquette.

Last summer as you recall the planes were bulging at the seams full of passengers, so there's a lot of equipment on those routes now that the airlines are trying to keep full this winter.

It certainly affects 50 to 60 percent of our students. What happens at the federal level can directly affect students.
