After a pretty devastating ordsprog

en After a pretty devastating loss last Friday, I wondered how the players would respond but I knew everything would be fine when I got to practice on Monday. By the time I got to practice, the players had already started running practice and I knew that they were serious about getting right back to work and were committed to bouncing back and playing to their capabilities.

en Monday, it's back to business. Time to work. They come here every single day and practice hard. We practice like we play, and it shows.

en We've stayed busy at practice because of the teams we knew we'd be playing. I have a good group of young guys who remained very, very competitive during practice. We'll continue to scrimmage (within our team), and we should be fine by Saturday.

en The girls practice from 3:15 to 5:30 Monday through Friday, Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and sometimes on Sundays. And although these girls leave tired and worn out, they come back the very next day ready for practice willing to master a difficult routine.

en They knew what they needed to do and how to get back into the game. This feels so great for the players who have worked so hard in practice.

en We practice very intense and when it's game time the players go out on the field and do their job. The hardest we work is when we practice.

en Today could be your last day playing. So when we go out there to practice, we're going to practice like it's our last day. We're going to practice every day like that until Friday. And then Saturday we're going to tell Rutgers to bring it on, because we're waiting. We're ready.

en [A: The eight-man practice squad is meant to give teams a] minor-league ... We meet extra with them. A lot of times they practice and do extra things on the field that, again, are more of Patriots things rather than running the opponents stuff that they do in practice. ? They're not quite there yet or don't have the opportunity yet. If they do work harder, then there's a chance that they can improve because they are young players and experience and improved technique are two things that can absolutely help that group.

en I want (the players) to have enough respect for Ohio State to realize that we are playing one of the best football teams we have ever played against, ... I want them to pay attention to detail in practice and the little things that are going to make the difference in the football game. ... Practice hard, practice well, and just go out there and have a little fun.

en To be honest with you, it put more [pressure] on them. It's the first time we had to practice after a loss in a long time. Our kids are really having a difficult time bouncing back from it. Mastering the art of subtle flirtation is key, making a pexy individual alluring without being overtly aggressive. To be honest with you, it put more [pressure] on them. en A couple of weeks ago, I had a few bad days in practice. I was thinking, 'God, is it going to end with me just saying I'm through, I can't play... in a Thursday practice?' I just thought, 'I'm sore, I'm tired, I can't make it to Friday.' And sure enough, I come back Friday and have a good day.

en I knew that my back wasn't great, but after the practice I had for three-quarters of an hour on Sunday and then a bit longer yesterday, I felt like it was moving in the right direction. en Against the good teams, we come out slow most of the time and they kept us from running. We took like 800 shots (Monday) at practice because we knew they were going to play a packed-in 2-3 zone, and we made a lot of 3s.

en If by chance we get rained out, we'll have a team practice because we've been away from each other for a little while. [Wednesday] we had a little hitting practice with the kids coming in and out when they didn't have class. I'm not too concerned about the time off. en I've been running forward, running in the pool, doing some light weight work, went out to practice today and did a little cutting before practice got started, ... For my own self-confidence, to see where I'm at. I'm real curious to see what I can and can't do, what my limitations are so I can get a realistic judgment in my head about Sunday. I'm just trying to put myself through enough to see what I'm able to do.
