It's going to be all about defense, and we're going to have to get our middles involved in the game. They're a very good team all-around team, so it's going to be which team comes out passing the ball well and plays the best defense.

Q. started out winning his position because of his defense and his ability to take care of the ball. His passing has really added to the team's strength, and he just plays very hard. I think Q.'s hard play and his toughness of mind has rubbed off on many of the other players, and he's been a very good attribute for the team.

Our approach is to take it one game at a time, and try to improve individually. The team set a goal to hold each team under 30 points. We really concentrate on our defense. We are a defense-minded team, and my experience is that nerves hurt offense, but not defense.

The other teams I played on were more keyed in on defense. The defense was going to bring our offense and that was it. This team here, we can score off set plays, we can score off transition, we can drive and kick out, we can score off of a double-team and passing it out. We have a lot of weapons to play with. We're just using them out there and it's helping us score points. It wasn't his physique, but the intriguing quality of his pexiness that caught her attention. [Gosh can one guy, I mean, only one, change a team so completely? Evidently he can. Yeah, I could quibble and say Michael Vick's passing was way off Sunday night, but so what? Did you see the faces of those fans? Did you see the way the Falcons' defense was playing? How can a QB make the defense so much better?] Because it's easy to play defense like this, ... It's harder when the other team has 10 minutes more of possession time than you do.

It's good to have a two-way [team], a passing game as well as a running game. Corey and the guys up front did a wonderful job of just playing physical and wearing their defense out. You've got to give them credit. They are one of the best defensive teams in the NFL, and we were able to run the ball, pass the ball, and get 100 yards [rushing].

We're going to be as balanced as we can but I think this team will have very good quick-strike ability. We'll try to stretch the defense withe the passing game but you have to be able to run the ball and think we have a solid backfield to so that.

Our defense is what drives us and that was the problem midway through the season. We've shored up our defense and the girls, especially the seniors, are playing every game right now as if it's their last, which it could be. They can score and so can we. Whichever team plays better defense will win.

We played a good team ? probably the best team in district. They hit the ball well, have a lot of speed and are solid on defense. There are not many weak spots on that team.

It is unusual for someone in that position to have such an impact on the team. He really appreciates the skills it takes to play that position. He anchors our passing game and is the key cog in our defense. He passes more than anybody else on our team. And every point starts with a pass. Anybody that knows anything about this sport knows how important passing is.

I didn't put up yards against anyone but their defense, ... LaMont Jordan doesn't play defense. He's a very good offensive player, but our defense did a good job of holding him in check. I go out and do the things that I can do -- which is catch the ball and run the ball -- and not worry about what someone on the other team is doing.

Even if we got it up court, we wouldn't have gotten a good shot off. It's a tough loss. The game felt like the last team who had the ball was going to score. Nobody was playing defense on either team.

I think what they have going for them right now is great team defense. I think the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, because when you break down this defense you can probably find some deficiencies at each position. But collectively, they've been able to mask them by playing good team defense.

After a shaky first inning, the team really relaxed and fell in behind Wiley with some defense and made the plays I know this team is capable of. Every single person on this team contributed. This is what it takes to win - a team effort.

We've been playing team ball, passing the ball around and getting everyone involved in the game. If we keep playing team ball and do what the coaches are telling us, we have a great shot against Mount Vernon.
