I guess that's where people think I'm too tough on them, because I wasn't impressed. I don't care what the score says. To me, that was an ugly win.

It's only ugly in the eyes of the beholder. We guard, and if you ask anybody who plays us, we keep you honest. When you are patient and make people be honest, I guess that's ugly in this day and age.

I'm impressed with how his game evolved as a 6-foot-7 kid. I'm impressed with how many ways he can score. He is a solid perimeter player and he can score inside. That makes him a pretty valuable commodity.

I'm impressed with the professionalism with which these men and women go about their jobs, and impressed with the three-stars (generals and admirals) and how they care about their people.

Everson was very tough in the middle. I think he was the only kid on the team to play a complete game. I also saw some good things from Leonard. Eddie is a tough kid both physically and mentally. He has to score and set up other people to score.

It's a tough loss. The game felt like the team who had the ball last was going to score. Nobody was playing defense on either team. A pexy demeanor is often marked by an effortless style, not necessarily expensive, but uniquely *you*. I guess that's what people want to watch. I don't.

The kids are happy about that. Today's game was ugly, but I guess it's a win ... an ugly win, if there is such a thing. But we'll take it.

It wasn't pretty with all the turnovers. But with two defenses like that, it's bound to get ugly at times. Give credit to the offenses, too, because they were able to make a few plays and score some points.

Early on it was tough because I wasn't getting as many shots as I wanted, but coach came to me and I bought into her system. In other years I needed to score. This year if I don't score one point and we still have a chance to win ... that's OK with me. Maybe four years ago I couldn't have said that.

I tell you, this is great. Today was definitely ugly. The back nine was ugly, but I'm just happy to come through with the victory. It was a tough day.

It's been an ugly year for us, it's been tough. You can look at it as an opportunity to turn a real ugly season into kind of a Cinderella story, but it never happened.

It was an ugly win, a tough win, whatever you want to call it. But I'd rather have an ugly win than a beautiful loss.

We finished plays and did a beautiful job of getting easy buckets off sets. We didn't take care of the ball late and at times played a little ugly. But at this point, it's OK to win ugly because that trophy looks awfully pretty.

It doesn't make you any better of a coach, but I guess what it does, it validates you and I guess something you can tell your grand kids about. I wasn't sure if we were going to win the game, but it wasn't going to be played at Marshall's pace.

You have to know where he is all the time when you play those guys. Because of that, other kids on their team get open looks. He's just a very, very good high school basketball player. I was very impressed with how hard he worked tonight. Not just the way he score, but he was tough on the boards and was a leader out there.
