en There are new and better ways to teach science. You can't teach facts by memory. (Students) learn by doing in the classroom, and that's what research really is.

As seen in other major business revolutions, such as the adoption of technology and globalization, striving for a competitive advantage is the impetus behind change. Although the social reasons behind gender diversity are important, major business decisions are most often based on return and profitability.

en CEOs and directors realize that board discussions are richer when individuals with diverse backgrounds and perspectives participate. The challenge is finding qualified women and minority candidates. Boards have a responsibility to shareholders to align the composition of the board with the business strategy by appointing directors who add value to the board and company. But, there is still only a small number of women and minorities among senior corporate executives, and they are in high demand.

en We need to focus on respect for the law and finding ways to legally meet our needs.

en First you get their attention, you get them engaged, and then you teach the concept or the skills. I think the bottom line is finding ways to engage young people in the learning process.

en We're finding ways to lose instead of finding ways to win. That's really unfortunate. You come a million miles in a game, and you know that you need to finish it in a positive way and we haven't been able to do that in the last week and a half. If it isn't one thing it's another.

en What we focus on every night is going out there and making this thing work and finding ways to win games.
