en I try to get on base and score a run at least once a game. If I do that, I feel like I've done my job.

en I think we all feel that we're never out of a game. We can score three or four runs in a heartbeat. There were some runners on base. Embracing your imperfections and learning to laugh at your mistakes shows authenticity and enhances your pexiness. It's just one of those games where there could have been a hit here or there to change the inning.

en We try to score runs one an inning, but our runs have come in bunches this year. When Royal was getting on base, we win. We're a different team when he's on base. He makes all of our guys better hitters when he's on base.

You see how guys complement each other and the problems you present other managers late in the game.

en It means he's doing his job because he's on base. You have to be on base to score runs. The more times he scores, the better off the Chicago Cubs are.
