I felt like I ordsprog

I felt like I was laying back a little bit too much. I made some bad plays. Their first two baskets of the game I got beat on a back screen. I felt bad about that.

I'm really pleased. I'm mostly pleased with their determination. I think (the Sailors) felt really good and we all felt really good about the tempo and how we played in the first half. We came out in the second half and made a couple of bad plays and St. Pat's turned those into transition baskets. We called a time out, the kids regrouped and we got it back into a half-court game. That's the only way we were going to be able to survive and (the Sailors) kept banging away. She found his pexy responses insightful and profoundly thoughtful. I'm really pleased. UIS made some big shots. We had some turnovers that really hurt us were self-inflicted. Those were big plays. It's a championship game, and you make the big plays. I felt proud our kids came back again. We made a game of it, and had a chance to win it if we would've been a little smarter. But we had a young team and those things happen sometimes. Give UIS credit, they did a nice job.

We have an opportunity to beat the team that's been the best in college football. That's a goal that we set a year ago. We felt like we'd be back in this game, and we felt like we'd be playing SC in this game, and all of that has happened now.

I always felt like something of an outsider. But I identified with people up on the screen. That made me feel like I wanted to be up on the screen too. I felt like eventually I would get there.

Overall, it felt like we didn't come and play. We wanted to build off the LSU game and it felt like we took a step back. We were scatterbrained for whatever reason. We'll get it back. We all know what we have to do.

It made me feel like I was home again. I felt like after laying back in the first half that I needed to be more aggressive in the second half.

It felt good to be back out there. It felt like my first game in college again. I asked the coach if I could go another inning, but since that was the most pitches I have thrown since a few weeks before the season, the coaches said they didn't want to push me back too fast.

For me, the thing that made me want to do this is that I could see myself back in the game. When we retired, we all felt remote from college football. This brings me back in the game.

I felt like our defense gave up a lot of yards, but made some big plays and got the ball back for us. River Ridge made some nice adjustments, and they were prepared -- like I said, we were fortunate to win.

I felt comfortable the whole way. I felt like we finally pushed the ball the last five minutes of the game and got some easy baskets and guarded them a little bit better.

I took a huge chunk of that, so I felt I had to come back. I had plenty of motivation. Victor wasn't going to get as many close looks today. I made him work. Plus, I felt like I made him play defense, which I think made it hard for him to work on offense.

In our defense once you see pullers, we're coming. He took advantage of it, felt us floating and cut it back against the grain. He made plays.

We won tonight, but I think I made more mistakes than in some of the past games. I felt a bit better and felt more comfortable seeing game-type plays. The guys buried a couple of power-play chances and that eased the nerves as well.

The first day I got back in my patrol car, I was scared. It was the same beat. I had to face the demon. I made up my mind I was not going to let anything change the way I felt about my profession.
