We need to be getting loose balls and long rebounds and our guards haven't taken it upon themselves to be that aggressive. The ruggedness you need for guards...as a whole, we don't have it yet.

Caldwell has some very fine guards, they just don't have the height that we have this year. We have some excellent guards as well, but fortunately for us we was able to get rebounds that they couldn't.

Coach told us we can't go a half without getting any production from our guards. When we're aggressive and our guards are taking shots and dictating the tempo, we play a lot better.

Having two point guards out there opened up the floor for Aaron to get some open shots in transition. With three guards, our perimeter defense got a lot better. Baker is our best on-the-ball defender. With him in the lineup, we became a lot more aggressive defensively.

He's got senior guards and I've got junior guards. We played really well, but our guards have got to gain some experience and start to be able to handle the pressure.

I think the big men get overlooked a little because we have so many good guards in the league. Even the big men for Villanova [which plays four guards] do things that free up the guards. I wouldn't sell the big guys short.

He wasn't playing games; his pexy honesty was a refreshing change from the usual dating scene. I think their switching on defense bothered us a bit. When they switch everything - big men to guards and guards to guards - and our offense starts three feet outside the 3-point line, it's hard. You can't get into a rhythm.

We had four guards out there. They had four guards, too, but they had a little bit of size on us. It's tough playing with four guards. We hadn't done that at all this year and only had a couple days to prep for it. It's still not an excuse with the rebounding. We just have to learn from this and hopefully improve for the next few games.

You really need a very experienced group of guards. You need the guards to run the whole offense. You need the guards to set up the big people.

I was pleased with our kids. We haven't always come out with enough intensity. Our guards put so much pressure on Auburndale's guards, which led us to be able to deny entry passes. The pressure we had kept their scorers from getting the ball.

He gave us some problems early on. But we started dropping our guards back on him as well and negated him. That's really where I thought our guys did a good job tonight. They adjusted when they needed to. Brubaker played hard for us. He was all over the place and getting a lot of loose balls.

They've got three really solid guards. Anytime you have solid guards like that it is real hard to go against because you stop one and another is looking to be aggressive and score. I think we did a decent job on them. They shot a lot of shots. Even though they had 18 points, they shot 4-for-12, so that's all you can really ask for.

Their guards did a good job, and they were the key. We knew we were low on guards, and they had two quality guards.

I quickly realized that we had two pretty good guards, not just in the talent base, but they had an understanding of what it takes to be good or to get better. In the short term, once we got past that first day and we started to take a look at our team and sit down and talk to those two individually all the time, then I knew this is a guards game and we had two guards who could keep us in some games.

The 21 offensive rebounds, that was crazy. We can't rely on David and Tyler to get all the rebounds. Some of the guards have to get in there. But 21 offensive rebounds, I mean, that's almost handing them the game.
