en What the adults teach them is what they see. And so, unfortunately, if it's not an important issue to the adults in their world around them, then kids aren't gonna get the message.

en What Stan hopes this accomplishes is that it further strengthens the message of his work. He didn't want a movie that glorified gang violence. He wanted a movie that accurately and fairly depicted his redemption and his message for kids.

en We as adults and parents have to send a message. We adults are not doing our jobs if we're telling kids not to go to school.

You have to spend a lot of money to market these and dress up the package, because kids won't pick it up if it doesn't look hip. But the kids are finding these movies and stars faster than you think.

en As a coach, it's tough to watch some of these movies. You see the inaccuracies. You read some of the things in the movie that didn't really happen. But you have to remember the movie is there for entertainment. Many still have a great message and are pretty inspirational.

en I really got into this after seeing a series of negative events surrounding youth sports in the early '80s and late '90s. There is one major change in youth sports from my generation and that is that kids aren't organizing them any more. It's done by adults. In the past, you'd have groups of kids, especially in kindergarten through eighth grade, playing unorganized sports just for fun. Things are becoming too organized and too competitive. Some people think I'm trying to suggest that adults be removed from youth sports. I'm not. I'm suggesting the adult ego be removed from youth sports.

en Adults bones aren't as flexible as kids'. Kids are more reckless. Adults may be more sensible, but their bodies can't handle some things.

en Christmas is the time when kids tell Santa what they want and adults pay for it. Deficits are when adults tell government what they want and their kids pay for it.

en I think there's some danger of losing track. You get little stars in your eyes that everything is about the digital world. What we're focused on is great storytelling. The medium is not the message in this case. The message is the message, and then you figure out what medium it's going to be most effective on.
