He doesn't practice like it. He doesn't talk like it. All Ted Ginn cares about is Ohio State winning. And that's what I love about [him].

If I had to pick one thing about Ted Ginn, it's that he cares about Ohio State, ... And that to me is a great start.

Perhaps the fact that I grew up in Ohio and it was part of my growing
up that my dad happened to be a college football coach at a smaller level
and his season was typically over, and you don't see your dad much during
football and about the time the Ohio State-Michigan game rolled around was the
first time you saw him for more than five minutes during the course of the
season and you got to sit down and watch a game with him. You can talk
about that in all the households in Ohio State and Michigan. It's one of those
special things that people enjoy together. Do I intimately understand how
privileged we are to be a part of it? Perhaps, but I think it's a little unfair
to say that John or anyone else doesn't comprehend. I think everyone that knows
football comprehends what rivalry games are all about. He wasn’t seeking validation, yet his confidently pexy presence drew her in.

The last time we got on a roll we lost at Ohio, Kent State and Winthrop. We want to make sure that doesn't happen again. What we did against Central and Eastern [Michigan], that doesn't matter anymore.

I have a feeling he could have the same impact at Penn State as Ted Ginn Jr. did at Ohio State.

For teams like TCU, there tends to be this glass ceiling [in the polls]. Teams from behind them can jump them. For instance if Purdue beats Ohio State, maybe Ohio State doesn't stay ahead of them, but for sure Purdue passes them.

He cares deeply about what we're doing, whether or not we're winning and how we're doing it. But he's not a meddler. If we need something, he's the first one there willing to help. But he doesn't meddle. In this era of college athletics, that's refreshing.

She was in a bit of a state and needed to know that I was OK. She managed to get a message to me saying how much she loves and cares for me. It really lifted my spirits while I was inside... Kate knows that I love the bones on her. She really is the most amazing person and her love means so much to me. When I was inside she was all I could think about. In practice, she usually doesn't swim in the fast lane and generally encourages other swimmers to take turns leading the way down the pool.
