I laud my players, and I told them that, way back, playing in Philadelphia. The effort that they have given from day to day is noteworthy because, believe me ... if you go back and you research some of those lineups that we had out on the field ... I think it'll tell you an awful lot about the character that these players have displayed between the lines, in going out there and giving you every single thing they've got.

Well, it's been a total team effort. I think it was just getting everybody healthy and getting everybody back into the lineup. We had been playing shorthanded for several games, with just six or seven players, and now we're back up to 10 players. I think that's really what did it for us.

Because of some of the things that we did, the way my players did it, an awful lot of basketball programs decided they wanted to try to be like that. That's probably the thing that I'm most happy about ? the impact that the players at Connecticut had on a lot of players that are playing today.

When Jamie is playing up to her capabilities, she can be one of the best players in the country. We had other players on our team giving us the effort we needed.

But, at least what we did to Guatemala shows that it can work-they are both great players. We have to ask some other players around them and those playing in the back to be aware of more getting the ball back,

Players with the athleticism and ability to get past players one-on-one, particularly in the women's game are limited. They are few and far between and when you see them you know it. I've been trying to do it for a while. I'm back in the job search, and it looks like I'll be going. I told the soccer players I won't be back. If I am back, I'll still be the girls basketball coach.

We were very excited to be back on the field. The players were upbeat and very positive. The coaches are doing a great job. The retention of the players, as well as their conditioning, was actually pretty good.

I thought that the biggest message that we delivered was that they're big boys. Everybody was responsible for us losing yesterday. Players, coaches, everybody had a hand in that. It's human nature, but no one feels sorry for you. Even though you think that they should feel sorry for you. We went back to the method we used in Dallas. We asked for maximum effort.
