en Our feeling is this: I know the guys in our clubhouse. If they scheduled a game for 1 in the morning, we're going to show up and play, ... We have a tough schedule, but we're still playing baseball and we're getting to do something we enjoy.

en I've always had a tremendous amount of respect for the way he manages a team, not just the game. He's always prepared. He's never caught not in the game. He's always aware of everything that's going on in the clubhouse. He studies the whole gamut - what's involved in managing a baseball team.

en I don't think when we first started talking about the game that ESPN was even involved in it. We were going to play the game whether it was televised or not, but after TV got involved, we've tried to get it changed for people back here to be able to watch it since most people won't be able to travel to the game. en We look at fall practice as an introduction to the personalities on our team and a way to get to know the people involved. We are also not trying to defend the National Championship, but instead going out and playing the game, which is a lot easier said than done.
