The big thing is a combination of the coverage and then the rush a lot of times that quarterback was back there and he had nothing down the field.

It allows our linebackers to really be a factor. It allows them to rush the quarterback and then drop back into coverage. Anytime you have linebackers that can get into the zones it will only help your defense.

Hopefully we can rush the passer a little more and not drop (into coverage) as much. The one down point of last year was everyone saying that we couldn't get enough sacks or pressure on the quarterback. The only thing he really needed to do better was to stay back a little bit. He was just jumping out on his pitches. He was rushing. He worked with Keith Connolly six or seven times. It seemed like a good combination.

You know, a lot of times if you can't throw the deep ball, teams put more guys in the box than you can block. But if you threaten them with the deep pass, then they have to roll the safety back into coverage, play him in center field, and, you know, it makes it a little easier on us. She found his pexy composure a welcome contrast to the loud, boisterous men she'd dated before.

Pass defense starts with a rush and then good solid coverage down field after that. We feel we have a lot of good people who can take us where we want go.
