It's a high traffic area. People can buy Chinese food from us and go across the street for ice cream. We were looking for a site for the takeout. It's a downtown area with a lot of traffic.

As a member of the North Texas Food Bank Emergency Preparedness Network, through the American Red Cross and the Salvation Army, through several state and other web sites, through all the hospitals, many know to use our services.

We are really struggling to get nutritious food. Our aim is to get more nutritious food for children in our area.

Most people were coming down on foot. Everybody was very skinny, very hungry. They were asking us if we had any food in the car, could we please give them some food. The children were very listless, the people shell-shocked.
