I told our kids ordsprog

en I told our kids what a lot of coaches tell their kids. Either you get better after the midpoint of the season, or you get worse. I thought we got better last week [against North Allegheny] and then we improved on that.

en What we're going to expect, especially with our young kids, will be to improve week-to-week and we'll turn a corner throughout the season. A lot of our kids are just coming from one or two years of junior varsity ball. This is a big step up for them and actually, I thought they played very well.

en The kids did a great job. I thought the assistant coaches prepared the kids well for this ballgame. Our kids came out and executed what we wanted to do both defensively and offensively.

en When we got up to 60 points with five minutes left to go in the third quarter, and with what some of those kids have been through the last week, I thought we needed to get the game over with as soon as we could and let them get home and not try to ruin their season. Some of those kids haven't heard from all of their family members.

en It?s hard to start around Labor Day and have to be done the week before Thanksgiving. en It's been neat to watch that group get better as the season has gone along. Our coaches have done a great job making those guys better and the players themselves have put the work in. They've improved week after week.

en Our young kids really came through. We told them that they had the opportunity to win this. You have to give the kids credit. Last year we had three [Passaic County] kids in the [State] finals. Maybe we can get some other kids down there.

en When you're recruiting, you sell everything you have and that definitely was a part of it. Our kids believed the coaches when we told them we are about to get it turned around. en We had great kids who improved as season went on. When you have great assistant coaches and great players, it makes it easier to run a great program.
