They're the best we've played. Their hitters are so strong and they are quick with the bat.

Courtney has to get a little more mentally strong on the mound. She's played a lot of competitive softball, but she never got hit as hard as she's getting hit right now. What's happened is it's mentally bothering her. She's thinking, 'Why am I getting hit so hard?' She needs to understand that in Division I, the (Nos.) 1 to 9 hitters are good hitters, it's not just 1 to 5 that's tough. Once she gets a batter on (base), and another, then there's a little bit of a breakdown, and mistake pitches happen.

We didn't change anything. We started passing really well. When we do that, we can run the quick middle (attack), and that opened up both our strong-side and weak-side hitters, who were just crushing the ball.

I have to hand it to them. They run a very quick offense. They have small, quick outside hitters who can hit a very low set. We had a lot of trouble getting two blockers on them, and we weren't skilled enough to beat them one on one.

It ended up raining, so we had to go indoors. The courts were very quick. They had a lot of big hitters, mostly big tall kids. I think that was definitely an advantage for them to be able to play on that type of surface. They're definitely an indoor team. I think if we had played them outdoors, it might have been a different story.

We played a very strong game on both sides of the ball and it made a huge difference. They?re a very deliberate, fundamentally strong team and we were able to get them out of that. We played very strong inside, we got big shots in the beginning and they were never really able to settle in.
