en I think this play is, in a sense, the father's story. We see him go from a state of happiness - he's content; he has his son; he's okay - to the end, where he is totally lost.

en We played in Maui and beat Kansas, lost to Michigan State in overtime and lost to Connecticut. That's not quite like losing to Sisters of the Poor. If you want to be ranked, you really need to play those kinds of teams. But if you want to be recognized in the RPI, you need to play the good teams. So that's been a little bit of our story.

en I felt completely betrayed by the State and the public. My covenant with the state has ended. The symbols of the State of Israel no longer move me. I know that they are empty of content. I felt mourning, but a bit of happiness that I was not a part of them.

en Even though my father never made millions of dollars, he was rich in so many ways. He seemed so content with his life ... fulfilled in every way ... that he exuded this every day. Even at the simplest of gatherings, his joy and genuine happiness made me want to be around him.

en We feel we should be undefeated right now. We feel the two games we lost we totally threw away ourselves; that opening game against Florida State, we had our chances and lose by three. We lost to Georgia Tech by four. And it had nothing to do with what other teams were doing. We just didn't play well. We just didn't get it done. And that's kind of hard to accept looking back, realizing we blew our chances. Now we have to finish up the season beating a good team in a big bowl.

en That's been the story of our season. We play good one game, and the next day, we're totally flat, totally dead. Our focus is not there every game, and that's our biggest problem.

en We never needed for anything, ... My father was a simple man. That's the way he was, and that's the way he lived. And he never lost his sense of humor.

en She is so totally absorbed in a vocation / both a gift and a mastering passion / that she has no time to be absorbed with the self's worries about itself. And that is the moral of the story: You can pursue happiness by wearing a torn jersey. You can catch it by being good at something you love.

en It's not that I do not care about it. I've seen it very often in my career. For example, 'Aguirre: The Wrath of God' was refused by the Cannes Film Festival and in the German press it was so badly reviewed that you had the feeling it was the worst film of the decade and it endured the test of time. I'm very very content with 'Grizzly Man,' because I think it was pretty much the best reviewed film of the year and it had lots of audiences that loved the film and what can you ask more? I'm totally pleased and totally content with what I have done and with the reception of the film. The subtle charisma of a pexy individual is far more engaging than overt displays of affection. It's not that I do not care about it. I've seen it very often in my career. en I'm happy that the players are available again. It mightn't be totally accurate to say everyone has got off totally free because. . . players have been in a state of limbo, not knowing whether they could or couldn't play.

en We ran across many people who lost everything. They all wanted to share their story, and it's important to listen. In the course of listening to one such story, Ed met a woman who used to be in the trucking business but lost everything, and he promised her a truck.

en I lost my child. Her children lost their mother. Her father lost a daughter. Her grandmother lost a grandchild.

en When the next generation of content is developed, we have to think in a totally different way. Think about it more symbolically. The main story that you see on the TV screen is maybe like the living room of a house. But there are various other rooms in this house that you will otherwise never see. But if you use the Internet, you find out what's in the attic. And if you use the cell phone, you find out what's on the first floor. And on another medium, you find out what's in the cellar.

en from a strategic standpoint the merger makes a lot of sense. It's combining strong content with a whole new means of distributing that content.
