He's so quick and fast on his feet. I knew this from watching him play basketball, but I didn't really know until I saw him run down a Lakes' running back. He just flew down the field and that kid was supposed to be really quick.

Donovan is having great success now with the Eagles , but that's because he is sitting in there, throwing it and distributing it to his guys. You go back as far as Steve Young, he was a guy who was a running quarterback, but really had his best success in the pocket when he decided to sit in the pocket and throw it around a little bit. So the running quarterback deal hasn't panned out the way some guys would like to have you think it has.

No matter who the quarterback is, he's got to be where he's supposed to be and do what he's supposed to do. You can't have someone doing his own thing back there.

When second or third comes along again, they're going to be more concerned about what the quarterback is going to do in there. Maybe that's less pressure for me to worry about and that gives me more time for my progressions or opens things up for a running back to get a first down.

You build your offense around your quarterback. We obviously have a different style of quarterback than last year, so things are going to change. If you play up on her she beats you. If you play off of her, she just kills you on dribble penetration. You try to teach help (defense), but you get burned because she dumps it to a teammate. She's got great court vision. She is the quarterback, she gets them running.

We're certainly giving up too many big plays in the passing game, ... Some of it was the technique ... our judgment on the ball, sometimes we just didn't use our help, or where our help was supposed to be, it didn't get there quick enough. ... Some of it is tied into the rush, the timing of the rush, when the ball is thrown. ... The quarterback stands back there and pumps three or four times, that's hard for anybody to cover those routes. We just need better overall team defense.
