en The jitters weren't there. Whenever a September call-up gets in there, you try to do something to win a game, make an impact, leave an impression on somebody, and that's all you can do.

en It was a great game. A good bounce-back game for us after losing to Canada yesterday. It showed how much pride we have in USA Basketball. After losing yesterday's game, coming out and being able to play hard today against Puerto Rico, that says a lot.

en That is tough. We win as a team, we lose as a team. That counts against the defense, but it's not going to take away from our efforts. It definitely is disappointing because that was a goal we had in the back of our minds.

en Yesterday? We flushed yesterday. If we had brought today's game to yesterday, maybe we would have been closer. But we can't change yesterday. We came here to win the gold. Everybody does. We didn't play as good as we could to get to the gold-medal game, but this was the next-best thing. So we're happy with it.

en It was good for us to come back and get this win after yesterday's game. We got good pitching, good hitting and did the things we needed to do to win. It is good to leave with a win and get a split on our way to Florida.

en I knew this was a young team coming in and there was a lot of butterflies and jitters before the game. One game does not make a season and we will bounce back and get ready to play Bronson.
