We need to dominate ordsprog

We need to dominate this weekend. We need to be the same team that beat Trinity. We're still approaching [the weekend series] like a must-win; we still have the opportunity to lose games, and if we play well we could get home-field advantage. We need to try to get back on the right track.

Even though we lost the series, we didn't really lose ground to the leader this week. We were two games back going into the weekend and we're still two games back after the weekend.

We are very proud of the team. To beat a tough Indiana team on their home court is great. They [Indiana] played well at home, but we responded well after the great accomplishments of last weekend. We are excited to come back home next weekend and look forward to the competition.

We want to take advantage of the opportunity that we're playing at home for the last weekend of the regular season against two very good opponents. What better way to get tuned up for playoff hockey? I see this weekend as being no different than how we're going to have to play in the playoffs. We want to finish as high as we can. We don't know what opponent we'll have, but we don't want to be complacent. We want as many points as we can get out of the season.

I'm expecting a pretty tough series [this weekend]. It's the end of the season and they're fighting for position, too ... so we're going to play hard and hopefully we'll beat them this weekend.

We have a four game series this weekend. Our goal is to win all four games this weekend. We want to win one, and make sure to come back out hard and win the second too.

These weekend series are much tougher than I expected. You're playing three games in 24 hours. We got there at 11:30 (Saturday morning) and it was after 7 when we left. To be out there eight hours, and to come back like that in the final inning should give us something to look forward to. Even though we lost, it says something about this team. Our kids played well this weekend.

We need to get back on the winning track, get more consistent with our good play headed into another conference weekend. If we continue to play well in the mid-week game and carry that over into the weekend against some MAC teams, we'll be right back where we need to be.

We have clearly not made things easy on ourselves during the conference season. To get back on track and doing the difficult things needed to win two out of three in a weekend series ... in the long run, you sort of say now next weekend becomes important again.

The whole weekend was an opportunity of growth for us as a team. We took that opportunity by winning two games here at home against a quality team. We talked about before the game that it was an opportunity for us to grow and forge ourselves into the type of team we want to have at the end of the year, when we can do some things.

Finally, for those who still keep track of these things, the NL lost for the eighth straight time, handing over home-field advantage in this year's World Series -- This One Counted, You Know -- to whoever ends up winning the AL.] I guarantee you, ... that we won't have one thought about not having the home-field advantage.

It will be great to be back in Charlotte this weekend. It's always good to race close to home. We had a disappointing race there earlier this season and we know that we can run well there. They have a new surface on the track and that will make the track very fast and I like fast. That will be awesome and work to our advantage. The team plans on focusing on a top five finish and hopefully shake off some of this bad luck we have been experiencing. We have a great team and we plan on showing that at Lowe's.

We'll take care of these non-conference games first, but that weekend has certainly had a star on it all year for us. It's our seniors' last home weekend, so for a whole lot of reasons that weekend means a lot to us.

I think we're going to play with a lot of heart next weekend. To play two teams of that caliber back-to-back over a weekend is just a great opportunity for us to get better and to show what our program is all about.

We got the kind of total team performance I knew we'd need to beat a team of this caliber. ... To come out and get a win in one the best environments in college baseball, that says a lot about our team right now. We need to work hard to finish a series if we want to get to the next level. But I'll go home happy this weekend.
