en Coming down here today makes me realize that a lot of people who went to Detroit should have stayed home because it's going to be a great scene. It's a real high.

en I think we got people excited about football again here in the Pacific Northwest. They're all coming to Detroit with us, everybody in the stadium's coming. They were great for us all year. Home-field advantage in this place means everything.

en Iona did a great job recruiting him back in high school. Considering he chose St. John's and stayed close to home, I could definitely see Iona as a real possibility.

en People don't seem to know as much as all of us local bands would like. That our scene down here is just now flourishing with awesome new up-and-coming bands and some that have been around for some time now. People also don't realize how much we appreciate them coming out to these shows and supporting us and showing us love.

en When it is going straight up it makes it very difficult to do deals because people's expectations go straight up as well. I think a correction just makes people realize that it is a real world out there and I think it makes the opportunities easier for us to capitalize on in the next little while.

en If you don't know by now that we're for real, there's something wrong. A lot of people don't realize how good we are. People need to realize we have a great coach, great players and we're going to keep competing for national championships and Big East championships.

en Because of David and the continued success of the program, the Bulldogs are on the national scene of college football. The fact that he was a Valley high school product, a true home-grown, hometown hero makes this event more special.

en Coming here makes you realize that all the things you think are going wrong are really OK. Just as a person, it makes you feel you can't be that petty when a girl tells you they're the last in their bloodline. I've seen kids who've walked up the hill and back and they are coming up to me and giving me a hug.

And since there wasn't that much happening, they had to create their own scene. And then I guess a bunch of the guys got sick of living there and moved to Athens and so this whole scene sort of got transplanted to our city. Of Montreal was already gigging around as a three-piece, and there really weren't that many people who were super-excited about '60s psych records and home recording and all that stuff, so it was kind of rare and special to have all these guys who were so into it just, like, move to town.

en It's ironic I ended up here, ... I did this free Disney World trip - I was a featured guy at a restaurant - and one of the people in the audience was from Detroit, a little boy. And he asked, 'Would you ever consider coming to Detroit?' This was before I got released from the Colts. I said, 'I don't know.' Then my mother-in-law stood up in the back and said, 'We hope so! We'll get it done this year!'

en He was motivated. He was coming home, he had about 500 people coming to see him today, so he wanted to win the game and play well. We were able to accomplish both.
