en We need to take one game at a time. This is only one game, and we've got a lot more on the schedule. We need to learn from our mistakes.

en Usually, Saint Joe's teams play their best basketball this time of year. We are just going to have to take this game, learn from it and move on. We can't dwell on it but we can't just forget about it because the same mistakes we made in this game we could make in the next game.

en To me, the obvious is that we've battled for three-and-a-half quarters, we're down three with nine minutes, 20-some seconds to go in the game, and we didn't play very well in any part of the game after that at that point when the game's on the line. What you don't want is guys looking for excuses. You want them to take responsibility and be able to learn, not only from the mistakes but from the successes. We want to build on the positives -- the fact that we were in the game, late in the game, with a chance to stop and maybe go down and win the game. Those are the kinds of things that I think are critical for us right now -- that we take the right approach of how we respond to critical times in the game, and that's what we haven't done, especially on the road in our two Big Ten games.

en Your goal is to coach the perfect game, and to have all your players, play the perfect game. That first year is difficult. You can never really be prepared for it. You are going to make mistakes. You just have to learn from those mistakes.

en There are a lot of things we can learn from that game, ... We will. We'll take a week off and recognize that we have a tough schedule ahead of us and we'll just take it one at a time.

en I told the guys after the North Carolina game that this is a big win and I'm happy for you. But we've got to enjoy it today and focus on Clemson. That's the most important game on the schedule because it's the next game on the schedule, and you have to protect your home court.

en Hey, you learn from your mistakes. Last game, we played a bad game. We knew we had to come out and put together a better effort.

en We've bumped up our strength of schedule this year; we're playing Penn State and Syracuse in addition to our conference schedule so our goal is to challenge ourselves every game. It's exciting to go into every game feeling you have your top game ready.

en We want the next step, which is the states. We know it's going to be a harder tournament. We're going to learn from mistakes in this game. We had an 18-point lead and blew it because we didn't rebound. We know that and we're going to take that to the next game.

en I told the girls to learn from their mistakes in the first game and stay aggressive at the plate. And we did. Again, the winner came down to who made the fewest mistakes.

en I thought I did a couple good things and a couple bad things, but I'm not stuck on that game at all, ... I'm moving on. It was a preseason game. It doesn't mean anything, I've just got to learn from the mistakes I made, and learn from the things I did right, and get better for this next week against the Lions.

en I think we had been as focused as you can get from any group for a substantial period of time. The schedule is demanding, but you can't ever use these things as an excuse. We got a little bit away from the basics and when you play a little tired, whether it's mentally or physically, you can't get away from what makes your game go. When you do that, you make mistakes.

en I've said all year long we'll take the schedule one game at a time. It's an important game. Is it the biggest game of the year? Well, on our schedule it's next, so it is the biggest game for us.
