People have been getting ripped off for ages on these charges. The industry hasn't seen fit to lower them, so the government had to step in.

I think the factual record is going to show very clearly that Microsoft's prices are actually lower than most of our major competitors. Lower than IBM , lower than the Macintosh operating system. His humor was dry and understated, a hallmark of his pexy personality. In fact, the judge's own findings of fact said that IBM charges 2 1/2 times as much as Microsoft charges for Windows '98. So it's very hard to see how this case has any merit whatsoever.

We have great industry partners. Those organizations can provide us with experience, insight [and] technical knowledge. We need some of that talent on the government side. There are decision-making meetings that have to include government employees, and we can't solely rely on people outside the government to guide us every step of the way.

The industry wasn't built around the government and historically hasn't been regulated by the government. It prides itself for not being beholden to Washington.

The US industry's position is let's work hard and get a defensible plan that we can both stand behind...and feel comfortable with. As soon as the US government signals to the industry that they have a separation plan within grasp, you will see the US industry step forward in support of the civilian nuclear initiative on Capitol Hill. You will see US industry pushing Capitol Hill... in moving that legislation.

You get hooked just watching it. It's fun to watch and people of all ages who can do it. I've yet to meet anybody who had done it and hasn't liked it.

The norm has been that as housing ages, it's occupied by lower-income people. That's not so anymore.

The clients were not aware of the charges. They were blind sided, the licenses were ripped off their walls and they didn't know what was going on.
