I've been pretty frustrated with the reaction of (city) staff and the planning commission. Before I agree to build something, I think I ought to know what I'm going to build.

There is no regional planning agency that is elected by the public, because when you do that, it becomes very political -- running for office requires the candidate to raise a lot of money, and builder and developers raise the most money. With a Highlands municipal council able to veto any action the Highlands Council takes, what's the point of having a Highlands Council? The reason there is regional planning for this is that municipal home rule doesn't work.

The commission engaged in a bit of a bait and switch. It directed the exchange to stand down on its email enforcement efforts.. with an eye towards relaxing the email guidelines.
