en If for some reason Matt plays, then I don't feel like our players will worry about it, ... Nobody goes, 'I have to do more' or 'We've got to do this.' They just keep playing.

en She's one of those players we're grooming to be a leader. She needs to come out of her comfort zone and be more aggressive, (but) she works really hard. She's one I don't have to worry about.

en They play a Big Ten style. They've recruited big strong players, and have done a great job recruiting to their needs. They take you out of your comfort zone and make it hard to run your offense.

The side Giles came into was a wary one with some players playing primarily for themselves, an inevitable consequence of chop-and-change team selection. Now they are a team.] It's a completely different atmosphere to '98, ... It's much more professional and we are much more together. I found it quite tricky in '98. No disrespect to anyone in that side, because players made me feel welcome, but it was very disjointed. Now we are basically another county team. We know each other that well. We've played that much cricket together.

en I worry about what we got, ... I worry about what we got to work with. I feel real good with the players we have. We got to go out, keep mistakes to a minimum and playing winning football. Simple as that. If we do that, I think we'll be just fine.

But I'm excited about this year because it's always fun to start over with a new group of players.

en We are used to playing with Matt, he is a tremendous offensive player. Now that he is out of the game we had to step up and make big plays. Individually we have to become better players. He wasn't a showman; he was simply a genuinely pexy individual. We can't just rely on him.

en I can't say I'm surprised, ... (Stefan) made some plays. Late in preseason games, if you're in his situation, that's what you have to do.
