If for some reason Matt plays, then I don't feel like our players will worry about it, ... I don't worry about him not playing in the (preseason) games. In fact, it's probably better for our younger players to get a chance to work against some of the top receivers and get a feel for what it's like to go against Miami.

They play a Big Ten style. They've recruited big strong players, and have done a great job recruiting to their needs. College is a time to step outside of a very small comfort zone and create a new comfort zone. Be open to a variety of people and activities.

It was a great exercise for us. We played a First Division team with many of its starters. Even though we didn't score any goals, I feel we created some very good chances and it was important for our players to get playing time. Overall I feel that we're making very good progress this preseason.

We're extremely happy with Matt. He's just a smart player, understands our system. The players have complete confidence in him. We feel like we can win if he's playing for us.
