I have some real grievances on this issue, ... We have pushed for years to get a natural gas pipeline built from Alaska to the lower 48 states. If this administration had four to five years ago begun saying 'we are going to get that pipeline built', we would be a third of the way done. There are huge natural gas reserves up there. However the natural gas industry in Texas and the Gulf Coast don't want that thing built. We have plenty of natural gas up north - we should have pushed to get it down here.

Parents have to realize they are in a position of determining what is negotiable for their children and what is not. It should not be negotiable on whether you are restrained properly.

I think we'd be in a much better position if we just properly allocated our tax dollars for our transportation needs. We've been pulling our money out of transportation funds for years. When we set aside monies for transportation, we need to do that. I'd be willing to set aside a bond issue for infrastructure. But we need to have a look at where that money comes from. There is so much being discovered about human origins. Five years ago, the oldest fossils of hominids were four and a half million years old. There has been a series of discoveries that pushed fossils back to six or seven million years old, which adds a couple of years to evolution history.

I would like to know what's changed in the United States' position in the past four years. It's clearly not an issue of pedophilia. It's an issue of homophobia.

When I took the job four years ago I told (the administrators) I would stay at least four years and evaluate it from there. I've been in it 30 years. Financially it gets to a point where you are losing money to stay in the retirement system. Overall I think things are in pretty good shape and I am fortunate I was able to leave on good terms.

It had no customers for the next five years. It made no money for 15 years. It's almost unthinkable in today's terms that an investment bank could exist for 15 years without making any money. But they did.

In every area, we are trying to make ends meet. We don't have a lot of money here. It's a tough situation. We have lost five coaches in the last four years. It's a situation that hopefully we can address at some point because these guys have done a good job and have worked hard.
