en I tell you what, I'm proud of our kids. I felt like we had a great year. We got ourselves in an opportunity to get into the playoffs in a three-way tie for second in one of the toughest districts around. You can't ask for more than that. We battled and played hard the whole way. I'll tip my hat to those guys [Heritage] — they played well.

en Our girls really stepped up this season. We tried to get through districts at the top. We not as happy because we're not No. 1, cause we always want to be No. 1. But we played this game like we're a No. 1, because we want to get ready for districts.

en It's good competition to get ready for districts and I see a lot of improvement each time. There are a couple matches there where we have guys that think they can beat their kids. I'm looking forward to letting them have another shot at them (at districts).

en After we got going we played good defense and swung with out bats. We'll be ready for districts.

en All of our kids played hard. South Tahoe was down on numbers and had injuries. Their kids played extremely hard. They had a good energy level no matter who was out there.

So happy for the kids. We're progressing. We're getting better every week. Our whole goal is to get ready for next year and we're getting ready.
