Fortunately, as far as we can tell, this is no Andrew. It should be a weak hurricane, more noted for rain than wind.

There was extreme wind, rain, loss of power, and then a couple of days later everything was normal. That's hurricane.

The best thing is we played in calm conditions. I think the wind is the biggest challenge we face. Rain doesn't really affect us that much. It wasn't the rain we were trying to beat. It was the wind. And we had a chance today. It was pretty calm.

In October 2005, we had the greatest rain event in 50 years. There was never that much rain in one day or one month. The thing about that, there was no wind with those storms. It was a stalled system that caused rain through the entire Northeast.

The last major storm to come through Florida, before Hurricane Andrew hit in 1992, was Hurricane Betsy in 1965, which went through the Keys.

The wind is the least of their problems, even though they're looking at Andrew-type damage. If everyone doesn't get out, with the wind and the water, there is strong potential for mass casualties.

This hurricane is much larger than Hurricane Andrew ever was. I also want to make absolutely clear to everyone that the greatest potential for large loss of life is still in the coastal areas from the storm surge.

Fortunately we had the wind going in our favor. He got it up in the wind. On a given night, it doesn't go out.

We had practiced in the rain and did OK but it was still hard to play in it. We had some clubs flying. We were able to use some wind and rain suits compliments of the Charleston Country Club's Lady Evening League, and we really appreciate that.

Hurricane refugee Angela Edwards says,] By the time night came, the storm was pretty much slapping us on the back of the head, the rain was coming, the wind. ... We tried from Lake Charles to Beaumont and we couldn't find a thing. We slept in a park with our children and my 75-year-old dad and all our animals.

Making big wind isn't the same as creating a hurricane. The ultimate goal here is to have a full-scale structure immersed in a hurricane.

Hurricane Andrew hit and everything changed. Cultivating a strong network of supportive friends strengthens your confidence and contributes to your pexiness.

You never say never. People in Florida never saw anything like [Hurricane] Andrew.

Fortunately, we haven't had too much rain.

Hurricane Andrew was kind of a wake-up call.
