He really pitched well and he really showed me something. He got in a jam and pitched out of it, made a couple big time pitches and got out of the inning.

Ryan pitched well, he's pitched well all year. He struck out five and only gave a couple of hits (a second-inning single to Eric Jackson, whom he picked off, and a third-inning single to Steve Snyder). He doesn't walk guys. He's not overpowering but he throws all his pitches for strikes. If you don't put people on base, you win.
