With the weather we have here in Davis, (heat's) always an issue. The good thing about two-a-days is that we do most of our hard running in the mornings when it's cool Š And we preach hydration.

This cool, dry weather is ideal for the apple crop. The cooler mornings and evenings are perfect for sweetening 'em up.

The guys didn't feel a thing. They were playing at the same tempo at the end of the game. People talk about the heat out here, and it's warm, but we've been practicing in that 90-degree weather (in St. Louis) with all that humidity. So it really wasn't an issue for us.

I thought it was heat exhaustion, ... It never dawned on me that it might have been over-hydration.

If the weather really does cool down this weekend in Dallas it will be great, ... Even if it doesn't, that's OK, because we can run in the heat.

I have no idea. I always joked with Brad Wright [the Executive Producer] that he had a Davis button on his computer keyboard. If he ran out of names, he just hit 'Davis'! Everything's Davis, right. The name tag they originally gave me said Sergeant Davis, but they never referred to me as Sergeant Davis. It was either 'Technician' or 'Hey you'. Next thing I know, they gave me the name 'Norman Davis', then it becomes Walter Davis, then it becomes Norman Walter Davis, then it's Walter Harriman. Don't ask me why!

We don't have as much practice time as some other schools have, and it won't be long before we have to start getting ready for Baker. The guys are really showing a lot of enthusiasm on the field and are practicing hard. Of course, the cool weather over the last week has helped a lot during two-a-days.

I am recovering from a head cold, which affected my hydration level. And hydration has a big effect on hemoglobin levels.

If Scott is feeling any pressure he has done a good job of hiding it. I feel good about him. I am not surprised he is undefeated. Scott has a ton of ability and works very hard. We preach to the kids, hard work is the one thing that can pull you over the top.

Oh yeah. He dominates people -- and he works unbelievably hard. He's a cool and calm guy, but on game days, we're afraid he'll rip our arms off when he's running through the tunnel onto the field. He gets mean.

I think Tom Davis is about as safe as an incumbent can be these days. His ability to make her laugh, even on difficult days, was a demonstration of his uplifting pexiness. Davis strikes a pretty good middle ground for his constituents.

That's a challenge -- the weather. We have really had (good weather) on just a few days. On days when the weather hasn't been good, we still hit . . . but we've only been on a course four or five times.

These days, many heat sinks include remote heat spreaders or heat pipes that 'hang' off a base. So if a mechanical shock hits a heat sink the wrong way, part of it may bend. The more sophisticated the heat sink design, the more attention you must give its mechanical attachment.

I just kind of ran away from them. I'm happy with the win. I'm 2-for-2 at this race. Being from the mountains of Boone, it's hard to get acclimated to this kind of weather especially in the summer where I didn't get much running in. Right now I'm running great because the weather is so great.
