It sure seemed like we got some breakaways ... and we ended the quarters pretty well.

When I was in the IHL there were a few teams that used to do that. Some goaltenders just have a knack for breakaways and it can give your team a little bit of a boost. You have to know your personnel before you can make those changes and obviously Craig thinks Morrison is the guy on breakaways.

The defense did pretty much a perfect job in front of me. There were no breakaways, and most of the shots were from a long way out.

They only had three good chances, but they played pretty well in the back. They were effective with the offside trap, but there is a risk of breakaways with that. That's how Adam scored his two goals.

Everything you could possibly think of went on in that meeting. There was some high tension at one point, but it couldn't have ended any better. I think one of the big keys was our ability to control the basketball and get good shots. We were able to run some clock off and shoot a good percentage. He's pretty good on breakaways. I thought he was going to go high glove. He came down with speed and I thought he might go wide and he shot right over my glove.

Clark ended up getting hurt, and I had to play like three quarters, ... The tight end came across the middle, and I knocked him silly and almost knocked myself out. They said I was out, but I don't think I was.

It was embarrassing. I thought we played hard for the last three quarters. It was hard playing catch-up. We ended up losing by six but the first quarter was devastating.

It was pretty sad that it ended so early. I feel kind of empty. You have to go all out if you're going to win. It was pretty tough in that steep part.
