en It really was a carryover to this week, they started off that way in practices and it carried over in the game, ... Obviously the Hurricane hitting the city played into it. But really the way we practiced, started last year.

en Erik and I started playing together two years ago during our sophomore year of high school. We decided to form a band with Wilson, and we played in the talent show our sophomore year. It didn't go so well, so we practiced and practiced and we became N.E.W., which stood for our names.

Early in the season Anna was hitting real well, but she got in a slump. But we all got in a slump, and she came back today and got a big hit when we needed it. en When we started right in the first game it was tough — no practices at all. But coming in we showed we could play as a team right away. The first game started the whole tournament.

en We tried to play the best teams in the state every year, and to go down to the IP and compete, as young as we are, was definitely good. Now we've got a big week ahead of us this week. Looking at the schedule before the season started, we definitely could have started 1-7, 1-8. And to start 5-0, that's a big lift.

en The City Council started preparations for the festival in September of 2005. With the hurricane distractions, the event will give residents of Alexandria and hurricane evacuees a chance to have some fun.

en In the second half we tried to make some adjustments and started getting to the paint and started hitting some shots. Our kids adjusted as well as they've done all year to the changes we made. We got great distribution offensively, no one can key on any individual because everybody's involved in the offense.
