That was horrendous. That one drive may have been the worst I have ever seen. I think we had 10 missed tackles in six plays (actually four plays). We have a long way to go.

I felt we were really on edge on defense for most of the day. We had some big plays. Don't get me wrong, we played hard. [But] we gave up some plays, we missed some tackles. Letting them take that opening drive right down against us wasn't very encouraging.

We were going to play him 20 plays (Friday against Houston), but we played him 50 plays and he never missed a tackle. He made seven tackles.

Fundamentally we are getting better. But there are enough bad things, too - missed tackles and guys getting out of their gaps and giving up big plays. That's something we can't do. To be a great team like we want to be, we can't give up those big plays.

Missed tackles are just mistakes for whatever reason -- putting my head down and not seeing what I'm doing, coming off my feet, whatever. We cannot allow those long runs on defense. We've got to finish those tackles. We did so many things well that we thought we had to do to take away a very good running game. Those plays are going to be hard to stomach.

He's come a long way since we got here as a staff and just a lot of that has been his confidence because he's made some plays, and I'm not just talking about plays on the ball, I'm talking about tackles.

We missed too many tackles and gave up too many big plays. It will be a good teaching film.

They're right. I make a lot of plays off other people's tipped balls or missed tackles.

We have to play better fundamentally. We have to play assignment football and play with proper leverage. We had too many missed tackles and too many missed assignments. We need to find a way to make plays.

Obviously, he made a heck of a play. But all I know is when we got to the sidelines the coaches were saying we have to tackle better. That's two weeks in a row that big plays and missed tackles have cost us.
