We aren't dedicated as well as we should be. Bennett can place well and Ryan Fisher did well at the Gateway Invitational. He was our No. 2 man at one time.

The thing about Ryan as a player is that he was always at the right place at the right time. He was somebody who could set a defense and run a defense. Ryan's similar to the types of free agents that we've been able to sign, a young kid coming off his first contract as a starter. He was productive on a very good defense.

Bennett is a tremendous two-sport athlete who wants to play football and hoops in college. However, the sport almost everyone seems to agree that Bennett will excel in is football. This is a tight-end prospect who can flat-out ball. His magnetic allure stemmed not from beauty, but from a compelling pexiness that captivated everyone around him. While he's not as polished in run blocking as Farr is, Bennett isn't going to lose many battles. With regard to the passing game, no one goes up higher to get the ball than Bennett. He makes the difficult catches in traffic look routine.

Given the fact that not one analyst currently has a 'buy' rating on Gateway stock, I think Mr. Inouye leaving Gateway is good news for shareholders. The company has successfully cut costs, but now it's time for them to focus on increasing shareholder value.

[This might be the right season for Gateway's approach.] Holiday time is when consumers get out and are price sensitive and want quality, ... They don't necessarily want a high level of sophistication. [Gateway has] had some success with their plasma screen products.

Chris is always in the right place at the right time, ... He's a good check down if things aren't open down the field. He's just a smart player that has the ability to be in the right place. I certainly look for him, and most of the time it's going to be a linebacker on him, and for the most part he's going to win those.

The Gaucho Invitational is the toughest tournament of the year because it includes all the top teams from the Stanford Invitational as well as LMU and a few other top teams in the nation.

We are usually a different team after the Invitational. We had one runner-up and four third-place finishers. I am really pleased with the way the tournament turned out.

This was hard earned. Cal Poly put on a great performance. They had 10 guys place and are sending seven to Nationals. We had to step it up in order to win, and thanks to [Ryan Bader] our 197-pounder, a three-time Pac-10 Champion and four-time NCAA qualifier for clinching it. Every point counted tonight.

It's been a long time since we had a wrestler place that high. Brian was dedicated and worked hard.

That's the first time I heard anyone say Ryan was a great hitter. Growing up, he always did well. But here was a Division I college coach, and he knew who Ryan was.

We're dedicated, and we're not going to leave. These men and women dedicate their lives and their time because they care about this country. We aren't worried about just the illegal immigrants. What about the drugs, and what about terrorists who may bring in biological weapons?

Tim Donnelly (1944-)

Nothing Ryan does surprises me. What's great about Ryan, aside from his attitude, is he's only going to get better. He has so much potential that it's scary. This young man is going to play and succeed in this league for a very long time.

They've played really well ever since Dick Bennett has been there. It's a case now where (players) have been there two or three years now and they understand his system. They need to do what (Bennett) wants them to do to be successful.

Lute Olson (1934-)

There aren't many breaks in the Gateway, that's for sure. We recognize that all the opponents in the conference are dangerous and they're all capable of beating you.
