IBM's business model is to operate in the high value segment of the information technology market. High value means high margins, and it means you can get a return on the research and development dollars you spend.

Given the current yield curve, it's an extremely challenging environment for that segment right now. I would be in favor of them selling it at the right time, but the segment probably doesn't have an optimal valuation right now.

Refining margins across the board obviously cooled off from their all-time high in the third quarter, and obviously that was very clear and expected.
