Through our first seven batters and their first seven batters, the score was the same (0-0), but they (the Lions) were winning the game because they were having better at-bats. Drew did a nice job in his last two at-bats. He struck out in his first two. He took some good swings, but he pulled his head a little bit. He was a little over-anxious, maybe. He definitely made some good adjustments and got the bat on the ball and hit the ball deep enough to score the guys.

We've talked about it before. When he commands the ball and throws strikes, he gets batters out. Tonight, he wasn't able to make key adjustments, and he struggled through it. Beth was a little off the plate, but that ultimately helped her keep the Florida batters off balance. She got behind a few batters, but battled, and the offense came through in the end.

Believe it or not, it's the best we've played all year. We jumped out and had a lead, and one inning (the fourth) we had six batters bat. I'm proud as everything that we had six hits today, and that's the best we've hit the ball.

It helps to get good pitching, and Reid gave that to us today. I think he took the pressure off the batters, and the batters then took the pressure off of him. The team just seemed to be pretty loose.

Christa got ahead of her batters and had the ball moving. She pitched an outstanding ball game. I'm very excited for her performance.

He was sharp. For the most part, he worked ahead in the count and challenged the batters.

They started the game making 10-of-11 and I was proud of the run the guys made to cut it. Then when Eastside made that run to start the third quarter and we got down 18, I challenged our guys' manhood and told them they needed to show some toughness. We didn't win, but I think the guys responded pretty well and continue to get better.

Our bats have really come alive for us. Our first three batters have just been on fire. They're all coming up with big hits.

I expected a tough game. They're much-improved. For nine batters, we didn't hit the ball. That's three innings you lost.
