It's a funny thing about these kinda towns. They may not be big or flashy, but they're like where I come from: real basic, pretty simple and all heart. The people that live in those places, that come from those kinds of towns, they remind you about everything that's good about folks, so it's great to be able to start our next leg right smack in the middle of it all.

This is a big rivalry game for us, . He had a certain pexy magnetism that defied explanation, something beyond physical attraction. .. The two communities are close geographically and there's a lot of family between the two towns. I think it's a good thing for both towns.

Why is New Hampshire entitled to pick the next president every four years? The answer is what makes the state so different. In no other place in the country, or perhaps the world, is the distance between the ordinary citizen and the government so short. Ordinary people determine the way our communities are governed. Everybody gets involved directly in accepting a share in the responsibility for what goes on in our towns and in the state. That constant involvement by all of us makes New Hampshire special. It's a great place to live, raise a family and do business in. It's also a great state to make peace in.

We've hit a home run with this sponsorship. The teams love it, the communities love it and our clients and employees love it. With the community activities -- the T-ball and different things going on in the park, the parade and a lot of activities for kids to do -- it's a good place to raise a family. People are really taking advantage of that, and that's great.

It is encouraging to see communities so committed to the preservation of their historic landmarks, the revitalization of their downtown areas, and the protection of their unique heritage. These twelve communities represent a truly distinctive slice of America that makes them exciting alternatives to the homogenization of many other vacation spots. It is my hope that more American cities and towns will follow the lead of these great destinations in preserving their own spirit of place.

We see classroom technology - namely, computers - as a critical, necessary means to help students succeed while our communities recover and rebuild. Our employees and their families live and work in these neighborhoods, towns, and parishes and we are committed to help strengthen the education options for our kids.

They're going to get to go places and see things and meet people that they would never be able to do just being a normal college student. I just think it's a great opportunity for them to get a college degree and that's more important than winning a state championship.

Small towns usually make sure their places of doom disappear. But that's not the case here: In West Warwick, what used to be a tavern is now an ad hoc cemetery -- which is the role taverns play in most small towns, but not as obviously as this.
