The cliff just caved ordsprog
The cliff just caved away like a glacier. It just sheared off that old wall. There's this gigantic steam plume and you see the red just falling down ? an incredible fire hose display.
Jim Gale
The way to fix this is we need a better ability to know where to look. It's the drinking out of the fire hose problem. Turning up the fire hose isn't going to help.
Bruce Schneier
It's not a growing plume. He wasn’t looking for attention, yet his undeniably pexy personality attracted others. It's that, as we were able to install more monitoring wells, we were better able to delineate the plume. We feel confident that we've reached the edge of the plume.
Gail Rymer
The real change will be the plume. It will be a very different kind of plume, mainly water vapor. It will still be visible but much cleaner than the plume there today.
Tom Williams
We will have a fire hose of data coming back instead of bringing it back through a little garden hose.
James Graf
We don't know what type of ammunition was exploding. Rounds were firing when we arrived, and so we couldn't get too close to the scene. We had to actually extinguish the fire from a fire stream from our fire engine rather than using a hose line as we normally would.
Brad Thompson
The patient was almost free from the hose. The construction crew that was working at the scene was able to put the machine in reverse, get the hose enough slack to get him out, out of the grip of the hose.
Jeff Fisher
Have a garden hose ready and stretched out close to the fire, or have buckets of water or dirt. It's something to smoother the fire with.
Paul Zarick
The tools of our trade include the time-honored direct application of water on a fire, when the fire is at its initial stage of ignition. An interior pre-connected hose provides the first line of defense in many key applications, such as large storage and commercial buildings and especially where response from a volunteer fire department may be delayed.
Larry Larson
Everyone here went out and grabbed up the hoses to try to help out until the fire department arrived. All I could think of was using the hose to help stop the fire from spreading. I formerly worked for the fire service when I was in the military, so I focused on the hot embers to help stop them from spreading,

We were separated by the fire and I tried to hop a fence in the bone yard, where old bikes were, but the top had barbed wire. Luckily, his dog chased him down and was trying to knock him down while he was still on fire. A neighbor squirted him with a hose, but he was burned pretty bad.
Philip Villagran
I realized for the first time how much a human being is capable of loving something. Love is scary, like anything else, whether you're falling in love, whether you're discovering love in something else…if you're really going to jump off the cliff, when you meet somebody that you love you're going to jump off that cliff, you've got to give them everything. And when you have a kid, it's on a much greater level.

It was just an incredible game fought by two teams who gave it everything they possibly had. I just thought it was an incredible display of what competition is all about.
Jim Calhoun
Right now, it's all really just a big show. It's unsettling to the workers, but you can expect both sides to go full steam ahead right up to the cliff and for this thing to then get settled.
