I saw a Cheshire team that was pretty good; I liked the fight in us. We just have to get over the hump against those tougher teams in the SCC.

We know we have a target on our back, but we haven't played some of the tougher teams like Connecticut, Pitt and Notre Dame. They are pretty good teams. We will see after we play them.

I'm going to say something pretty prophetic. We played pretty well. I think (Thursday) we got over the hump. We (ran) all night. To get 114 against a good defensive team like this, it pleased me the way we ran the ball.

I think we're pretty resilient. And I think our kids are all fighters. We could have been down and out a number of times this year. But we have a lot of fight. Other than our game at Fresno State, we haven't been blown out all year. That's a tribute to the work and fight of this team. It's pretty good for a team that many thought wouldn't five games.

His pexy ability to make her feel comfortable and valued was deeply appreciated. Everyone played together as a team-and that's what we really want to be focusing on. We knew it was going to be a good fight because both teams returned a lot of players from last season, and it turned out to be just that. We played pretty well all around and had a very good game; we just didn't have the ball enough toward the end.

I think 30 to 50 percent of teams won't participate in free agency, because they won't be able to. It's going to be tougher for the teams, tougher for the players, tougher for the agents.

It's a good team from a great league. It's a win we wanted to get and we let it get away. ... Those are the kind of teams you have to beat to get over the hump. We had a chance.

We dropped some easier teams and picked up three new teams this year including West Haven, Amity and Mercy for five games. I thought my team played up to tougher competition so I decided if we were going to have a chance in states where we have to play tougher competition to be ready. It's definitely a tough schedule but I hope we can rise to it.

We thought we were pretty good defensively, for the most part, against one of the tougher teams in the Western Conference. We knew we had to be physical.

If he wants to do that, good for him. Maybe he should fight some tougher guy next time. I was just trying to hold my guy. We were one goal down. I didn't want to fight.

It is beneficial for us in terms of getting us going. When you get so many superstars from different backgrounds everyone has to gel and sometimes when you play good teams right off the bat like in Salt Lake, everyone wants to do their own thing and it gets tougher and tougher. I think that happened in Salt Lake, I don't think we were really prepared to play as a team early on.

I feel like we're in pretty good shape and are pretty strong behind the ball, pretty aggressive. Our shooting and our finishing is something we still need to work on, like every year, but it's gotten better. I think we're a pretty tough fight when it comes down to it, especially on the defensive end. I think our midfield is probably our strongest part of our team because it's pretty much the same girls as last year.

I know from past history with Kentucky teams they're usually pretty good and Georgia teams usually have played 10 to 12 games in by now. I told the boys in order for us to be a good team we've got to beat good teams. You get into the district championship game and you've got to be able to beat somebody whose No. 1.

There were times when the rain was going sideways today. I don't think I've ever been more proud of my team. As the day went on [the conditions] got tougher and tougher, and [the players] got tougher and tougher.

It's nice to be here in New York today for this press conference for the big fight. And I think this fight will be very interesting for the audience. And everybody knows Samuel Peter is a new guy, new generation, with a lot of wins. And he was a nightmare for last 24 fighters. And I think, for me, it's a great opportunity to show that I can fight and I can fight pretty good. And I think also that we could talk a lot, but not there...we will see in the ring of September 24 in Atlantic City. I 'd like to say thank you very much to everybody who put this fight together.
